Description

Beaver Pest Control, a reputable and well-established company in the pest control industry, is seeking a highly motivated Bird Control Technician to join our dedicated team.

As a Bird Control Technician, you will play a vital role in providing innovative and humane bird control solutions across London and the Southeast.

Requirements:

  • RSPH L2 Award in Pest Management or previous experience in bird control
  • Proficiency in rope access techniques or a keen interest in learning and mastering them
  • A commitment to humane bird control practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within our team and interact with customers
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various outdoor conditions
  • Good attention to detail with the discipline to follow process
  • Flexible, willing to respond to opportunity with a can do attitude
  • A full, valid driving licence to travel to customers’ locations.

    We value the expertise and skills our Bird Control Technicians bring to the team. As such, we offer a competitive starting salary ranging from £30,000 to £33,000, depending on your experience and qualifications.

As a Bird Control Technician, you will receive full training in Work at Height, PASMA, IPAF, IRATA Rope Access Techniques, and the latest bird control methods.   • Additional Earnings Opportunities
    We understand the importance of recognising hard work and dedication. That’s why we offer additional earning potential through various avenues, including overtime, commission, and bonuses. Your commitment and outstanding performance will be rewarded, allowing you to increase your earnings well beyond your base salary. OTE £35,000 – £45,000.
  • Company Van and Phone
    You will be provided with a company van and phone to assist you in your day-to-day duties. This ensures you have the necessary tools and resources to carry out your responsibilities efficiently and effectively.

As a Pest Control Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in helping both homes and businesses stay pest-free. Don’t worry if you’re new to the field – we provide comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident and capable in your role.

Your Role:

  • Conduct inspections and treatments to ensure properties are pest-free.
  • Assess situations and choose the best methods for pest control, always keeping safety as your top priority.
  • Help customers understand how they can maintain a pest-free environment by offering helpful advice and recommendations.
  • Record your work and communicate clearly with customers, ensuring they feel supported.
  • Work with your team to seal off entry points and implement preventative measures for long-term protection.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A valid driver’s licence and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • While experience in pest control is a plus, it’s not a requirement – we’re happy to teach you!
  • A good understanding of pests and their habits, or a willingness to learn.
  • The ability to work independently, but also the confidence to ask for help when you need it.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills – you’ll be speaking with customers, so a friendly and professional manner is key.
  • Physical ability to carry out tasks, but rest assured, you’ll have the support and equipment you need to do the job safely.
  • Flexibility with working hours.
