When disturbed, the beetles produce a foul-smelling liquid, which may also stain fabrics, etc. Whilst they don’t cause any damage to the building itself they can cause concern for many residents in larger numbers.

At Beaver we practice Integrated Pest Management (IPM). This is a sustainable approach to managing pests by combining biological, cultural, physical and chemical tools in a way that minimises economic, health, and environmental risks.

For small numbers, ladybirds can be removed using a vacuum.

For larger numbers or continuous re-infestations, our technicians can apply a residual insecticide to eradicate the insects depending on the location and presence of any non-target species.
